Women of Infinite Worth.
Does someone of you know the purpose of life?
We have a divine mission and that will be different for each one of us.
Heavenly Father gave each of us some special assignments to fulfil in our life on earth. An example of a mission could be blessing others who are lonely, giving them comfort and care. Any of us get something special to use in our journey on earth.
Through our behaviour we show how worthy we truly are. A worthy woman is not busy with being noticed by her earthly achievements.
We are of infinite worth. When we realize that, we are ready to know our personal mission en we all be willing to fulfil it.
Which women in the scriptures found out their mission in life?
-Mary, the mother of Jesus. How challenging was it to become the mother of the Saviour of Humanity?
-Eve, the very first mother of mankind. She accepted her calling as helper from Adam.
- Sara, mother of Isaac, who heard that she would have a son in spite of her advanced age. But she knew that nothing is too hard to the lord.
Women are very important in God’s plan. We are entitled to receive revelation as much as men.
Which are our assignments as women?
Motherhood, become a wife and have a family, find guidance in our Patriarchal Blessing, be a “detective”, organize, develop communication skills, be a best friend, be a peacemaker, be a teacher…
Elder Nelson said:
When you teach a boy you teach an individual. When you teach a girl, you teach a generation.
Mothers can be a wonderful example and prepare children to be who they are meant to be in this life.
A wise woman renews herself. The scriptures are the right place to look for answers because THEY CONTAIN DIVINE TRUTH.
Sometimes we get distracted with all kinds of things. That’s what Satan wants.
He can use all kind of things to take our attention away from what it is really important. We can also use anything to learn. Don’t let Satan distract you. He knows our divine purpose and will do anything to sabotage our efforts to live in according to it.
We need to ask ourselves why are we here on earth.
In which ways can we help each other as sisters in the relief Society?
We are supposed to help each other in true love. And to be able to love others we need first to learn to love ourselves. To know our peronal worth is very important to be able to love others.
Each of us is responsible for developing her sense of worth. That has not to depend on others. It has to come from within. From the knowledge that we are children of a God. Ask for that confirmation every day in prayer. That knowledge will give you the power to overcome all things and look at others with compassion and kindness.
We have our standards, we have The Holy Ghost, our Patriarchal Blessing, personal revelation and prayers to help us to find out our personal mission in life.
Go home and try this week to find out what your mission is in life. If you know it already but for some reason you are afraid …go for it. Do it!
